Nanometer porous aerogel (abr. As aerogel) is a kind of solid gel material with gas dispersion medium, in which the net structure is formed by mutual accumulation of gel particle or high polymer molecule.
It is regarded as the solid substance with lowest thermal conductivity in the world. By virtue of such low thermal conductivity and good high/low temperature thermal stability, it has great potential in various heat insulating and energy saving fields.
It belongs to mesoscopic substance and can be used as catalyzer carrier, electrode, absorbent, heat and sound insulating materials and the like.
It is mainly used as light high-efficiency thermal insulation materials for aviation/aerospace vehicles, ships, LNG tank, refrigeration storage, high-temperature industrial furnace, thermal batteries, oil pipeline, building wall and window/door, etc.
It can also be used as acoustic insulation materials, carriers of catalysts, absorbent, electrode and the like.
